Alstom to Build First GT26-based Combined-Cycle Power Plant in Tunisia
Levallois Perret, France 01 July 2008  Alstom (Paris:ALO) has been awarded a turnkey contract, worth approximately €335 million, by Society Tunisienne de l’Electricity et du Gaz (STEG) * for the construction of a 400 MW combined-cycle power plant. The power plant will be constructed at Ghannouch, in the Gabes region, in southern Tunisia. An additional contract includes a 12-year operation support and maintenance agreement.

3M to set up high-tech facility at TechnoPark
Dubai, U.A.E 30 June 2008  TechnoPark, the science and technology facilitator of Economics Zones World has announced that it will be home to a Hi-Tech manufacturing facility for 3M, a global Fortune 500 company. A long-term lease agreement on a 40 thousand square metre property in TechnoPark was signed by Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director of TechnoPark and Irfan Malik, Regional Managing Director of 3M in the presence of Salma Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World.
